With a line up of over 30 remarkable movies, award winning directors and  casts of legend actors, the 12th annual LAVAZZA ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL is set to be the talk of the town when it screens around Australia from mid- September until late october.

With over 1000 screening sessions across five cities, this massive production is the biggest Film Festival the world has seen, outside of Italy! All the films are carefully selected from a host of globally renowned film festivals including Berlin, Toronto, Cannes, Rome and Sundance.

Festival Director, Elysia Zeccola Hill says, ”Choosing films for our program is always a very personal experience, as there are so many movies that we long to share with our patron, particularly as Italian cuisine, fashion and art have become such a vital part of Australian culture.”

With so many categories ranging from drama, comedy and even thriller, the Italian Film Festival will captivate audiences of any types through is seductive charm and cultural influence.

Opens tonight! The 10th Italian Film Festival

Running from September 30 until October 18, the Italian Film Festival is being screened at Paddington’s Palace Barracks Cinemas and Palace Centro in James St, Fortitude Valley. It features a selection of Italy’s most highly acclaimed and multi-award winning contemporary films sourced from the Cannes, Berlin, Rome and Venice film festivals. ‘Genova’ pictured here, stars Colin Firth, Hope Davis and Catherine Keener and is on general release from November 5.
