Black Wire Interiors were hired by the client to furnish this newly renovated property, achieving a new interior look that made the most of the light-filled, welcoming spaces, and the luxe style and location of the property.

“We gave great consideration to the home\’s prestigious location on the canals of the Gold Coast when conceptualising this design,” says Christine McLeod from Black Wire Interiors, “We wanted to achieve a luxurious and modern interior that still had that sense of relaxed coastal living.”

The home\’s indoor/outdoor spaces have a flow-through effect from the living spaces to the pool area and onto the canal decks beyond, so the waterfront vista provides the perfect backdrop to the home\’s chic new interior design.

“Creating a harmonious design while letting each space have their own identity was a challenge. With so many interconnecting spaces, both indoor and out, we had to ensure that the furniture selection was complementary to the entire design, but would still stand out on its own.”

The mostly neutral palette, with contrasting charcoal pieces, tones in beautifully with the dark stained timber flooring and the black fittings, creating a balance of warmth in the crisp white and darker interior colour scheme.

Black Wire Interiors selected furniture from multiple suppliers, one of the major being Domayne Furniture, while artwork from Designer Boys and rugs from Colourscope rugs have been used as stylish accents throughout.

The home\’s design centres around the pool area and canal, and every room can be seen from the outside in, so Black Wire Interiors chose blues as the primary colour throughout the rooms, to connect with the water views beyond.

In the spacious master bedroom, a sophisticated mix of upholstery and raw timbers with oversized champagne lamps keeps the look luxe and lush. The designers have played a bit more with splashes of colour in the guest bedroom, teenage retreat and kids\’ bedrooms.

Using plenty of raw timbers in the furnishings, as well as adding texture through hand-woven rugs and pure linen, Black Wire Interiors have injected the perfect blend of high-end style and that organic, coastal feel intended for this beautiful Gold Coast home.
