Award-winning designer Silvana Azzi Heras has applied her considerable talents as the former Head Designer for Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin to create her boutique design studio, House Of Heras. Specialising in highly decorative designs applied to a variety of textiles including wallpapers and fabric, the House of Heras collections boast all the opulent, dramatic aesthetic seen in her work on films such as The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge and more.

The debut House of Heras collection of floral rugs in collaboration with Designer Rugs are intricately illustrative, lush and luxe, focusing on Australian flora and fauna as seen through the lens of the Arts and Crafts movement and heavily influenced by the work of artists and designers Lucien Henry and Josef Frank.

“I’ve always been inspired to create homewares that I would want in my home or my friends’ homes, and that can inspire a mood or start a conversation,” says Heras. “If you’re a lover of beautiful things, then a House Of Heras rug will always be at home in your space.”

With three rectangular rugs, one round rug and one epic hall runner, the collection offers superior luxury to suit all styles of home, from beach house to contemporary or an urban abode. Completely hand-tufted in New Zealand wool with highlights of shimmering bamboo silk, all five designs in the House of Heras for Designer Rugs collection can be custom-sized, shaped and coloured to suit any interior.
