Designed by Rachel Elizabeth Interiors & Textiles‘ Principal Designer, Rachel Scott, and her mother and Director Toni Scott, the exclusive range of furniture is inspired by their Indian travels, and hints of contemporary luxe, combined with traditional artisan techniques.
The collection of dining chairs, armchairs, benches, screens, writing tables, sideboards, trunks and cabinets have been ethically produced in close collaboration with a family-owned socially sustainable business in Rajasthan. The designers’ frequent trips to India throughout the production stage has ensured an inherent beauty in every piece, showcasing a stunning merge of age-old craft with modern design principles.
Treasures of the Taj is a natural evolution for the design studio, with their in-house rugs, linen cushions, organic cotton quilts, bed linen and table napery already being ethically made in India and highlighting the beauty of artisan crafts like block print.
“Our journey of creation and client needs has naturally evolved from interior design and textiles to this furniture collection,” says Rachel from Rachel Elizabeth Interiors & Textiles. “All our pieces, from the dining chairs to the side tables, complement our textile designs and give our clients an instant curated collection.”
The exclusive Treasures of the Taj furniture collection from Rachel Elizabeth Interiors & Textiles can be purchased online or instore at their Graceville, Brisbane showroom.
